The Chausie cat is a breed of domestic cat that is a hybrid of the Jungle Cat (Felis chaus) and the domestic cat. They are typically large, muscular cats with short hair and distinctive ticked tabby coats. Chausies tend to be active, intelligent, and social cats that require plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Due to their wild ancestry, Chausies may have a more independent streak than some other domestic cat breeds, but they can also be very affectionate and make great companions for the right family.
