In a recent incident in Kyrenia, two individuals, aged 22 and 21, found themselves arrested for the theft of a cat. The feline, known as Bob, was stolen from a residence’s garden late at night on August 31.
The incident led to the owner of Bob, Osman Cagdan, reporting the theft to the police, triggering an immediate investigation. This thorough effort ultimately led to the apprehension of the suspected cat thieves on Monday.
Thankfully, Bob was confirmed to be safe and in good health, happily reunited with his family. Reflecting on the ordeal, Bob’s family expressed their gratitude, stating, “We have been searching for him morning and night for five days. Even people we have never met helped us so much. For the first time, it felt like we were one heart. I cannot thank everyone who helped us enough. We are now smiling for the first time in days and crying with happiness.”
The two arrested individuals are expected to appear in court on Tuesday, where the legal proceedings will continue.
