Last weekend, members of St Albans’ Intervention Team A experienced a unique shift, showcasing the varied nature of their work. The officers were called to rescue a cat stranded in a tree, a task typically associated with firefighters.
A post shared on the St Albans Police Facebook page described the incident: “Who says night shifts are always the same? Well, Intervention Team A definitely had a different one this time. We rescued a cat stuck in a tree. As you can see, the cat managed to get itself all the way up the tree, but couldn’t get back down, so we came to the rescue.”
Once the cat was safely brought down, it approached the officers and rewarded them with a few cuddles before running off into the night.
The post humorously added, “Who says firefighters are the only ones who can get cats out of trees?”
