Cat lovers, get ready for the event of the year! This May, social media sensation Steven Meserve will bring his Loving Cats Worldwide (LCWW) CATstravaganza to Adelaide, as part of the inaugural Oz Feline Fair at the Adelaide Showgrounds.
The Oz Feline Fair and CATstravaganza, set to take place on Saturday, May 17th, and Sunday, May 18th, promises to be the ultimate gathering for cat enthusiasts. This first-ever event will feature cats of all breeds, ranging from competitive show cats to charming rescue kittens.
Attendees will have the chance to explore Purr-Creations Alley, an artisan marketplace, and Vendor Village, a bustling area with a wide selection of stalls offering everything from cat treats and toys to feline-themed clothing for owners. Among the many unique offerings, Two Cats Distillery, a small-batch craft distillery based in Athelstone, will set up a stall for tastings and bottle sales.
The event will also host a cat cosplay competition, giving fans the perfect opportunity to showcase their feline-inspired costumes.
A major highlight of the Oz Feline Fair & CATstravaganza will be the Very Important Cat (VIC) and Very Important Kitten (VIK) competitions, held on the Catwalk and personally judged by Steven Meserve. Additionally, rescue groups will take the Catwalk stage to present cats and kittens available for adoption, providing valuable insights on how to support local rescue organizations.
Steven Meserve, a globally recognized cat judge with hundreds of thousands of followers on social media, is known for his enthusiastic and personalized video reviews of cats. As the founder and CEO of Loving Cats Worldwide, Meserve works tirelessly to raise awareness of rescue efforts, preserve cat breeds, and promote ethical breeding. This will be his first time bringing one of his renowned conventions to Adelaide.
A reminder for cat owners: for the safety and wellbeing of the event’s show cats and visitors, personal cats will not be allowed at the CATstravaganza—unless entered into one of the competitions, such as the All Breed or Specialty Classes. Cat show entries are priced at $80 per cat.
