The Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare and Adoption Center is offering free adoptions for cats and dogs aged one year and older, according to News 5.
This special adoption event runs from Friday, March 14, through Saturday, March 22.
While adult cats and dogs are available at no cost, the county’s press release states that puppies and kittens can also be adopted for a fee. The adoption cost for puppies is $50, while kittens are available for $25. Additionally, all adoptions for Escambia County residents will include a $15 licensing fee.
The Escambia County Animal Welfare and Adoption Center is located at 200 W. Fairfield Drive. Its operating hours are Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
