Bajah’s Cat Café has reopened in Tiverton after reaching an agreement with the Rhode Island SPCA.
The arrangement follows last year’s removal of 18 cats from the business due to adoption-related permitting issues.
Owner Amanda Sousa told ABC6 on Thursday that all 18 cats have since been adopted, and operations at the café are running smoothly once again.
Sousa still plans to open a rescue facility in the rear of the building but is awaiting the necessary permits from the city.
To support the rescue effort, she will host a fundraiser on April 27 at The Eagle to help cover associated costs.
