Cat hotels have become a popular choice for pet owners, especially during festive seasons like Aidilfitri, providing a secure environment for cats while their owners travel to celebrate the holiday.
As a result, these hotels are often fully booked, with some owners making reservations as early as the first week of Ramadan.
Shah Farid Rashid, 34, the owner of Furrytel cat hotel, shared that bookings started a week before Ramadan this year, and all rooms have since been reserved.
“Although my cat hotel has 58 rooms, with space for up to 150 cats, every room is fully booked. Most owners board their cats here for at least one to two weeks, starting from the end of Ramadan,” he explained.
Shah Farid also mentioned that most customers opt for stays ranging from one to two weeks.
Meanwhile, Vishnubalan Ravee, 39, owner of Petz Planet, reported that only four medium-sized rooms remained available for Aidilfitri bookings.
“The large rooms, which accommodate four to five cats, have been fully booked since last week. We offer 20 rooms, and we’ve already received 50 bookings for stays a week before and after Aidilfitri,” he said.
Vishnubalan noted that his services are popular due to their affordable prices and the cozy, welcoming environment they offer for the cats.
