A cat at the Xiyuan Temple in Suzhou, China, has become an internet sensation after a video of it “blessing” visitors went viral on social media.
The cat, wearing a striking gold-colored chain, delighted onlookers by offering high-fives to anyone who approached. Crowds gathered around the feline, eager to receive its “blessings” and share in its perceived good fortune.
In a video shared by the Instagram account ‘China Focus’, the cat is seen extending its paw to people, offering blessings in the form of high-fives. It also posed for photos with tourists, adding to the charm of the moment.
The caption accompanying the post read, “In Suzhou, the adorable little cat at the West Garden Temple, wearing a gold chain, is giving high-fives and posing for photos with visitors. It seems to spread blessings and good luck all around.”
Suzhou Tourism also shared a clip of the cat, writing, “Pawsitive Vibes Only! This temple cat at Xi Yuan Temple, Suzhou, is blessing visitors with high-fives – and the internet can’t get enough!”
Xiyuan Temple, which was founded during the Yuan Dynasty, was destroyed over time and eventually became part of the vast classical garden known as Xiyuan, or West Garden.
