Nalgonda Two Town police have sent a sample of cat hair to the Forensic Sciences Laboratory for analysis following a complaint filed by Pushpalatha regarding a pet ownership dispute.
Pushpalatha claimed her neighbor had stolen her pet cat and dyed it to disguise its appearance. She explained that she had been caring for the cat for the past three years, but it went missing last year. Earlier this week, Pushpalatha spotted a cat with her neighbor that appeared to be the same as hers, though it had a different coat. This led to a confrontation, with both parties asserting ownership of the animal.
When her neighbor refused to resolve the matter, Pushpalatha took the issue to the police. In her complaint, she stated that when she visited her neighbor’s house, the cat seemed to recognize her.
Pushpalatha described her cat as being white, while the one with her neighbor had brown streaks. However, the neighbor maintained that he owned the cat, along with five others.
Police confirmed that the cat hair sample had been sent for forensic testing and stated that ownership would be determined once the results were received.
