Cats Protection Anglia Coastal is urgently seeking indoor fosterers to provide temporary homes for cats until they are rehomed. The branch, which is run entirely by volunteers, is looking for people who can offer a spare room to one or more cats.
Lynne Pothecary, the branch’s publicity officer, emphasized the crucial role of fosterers: “Cat fosterers are essential to our charity, as they care for cats in their own homes until a new owner can be found.”
While no special equipment is required, fosterers must have a spare room for the cat and, of course, a genuine love of animals. The charity will provide comprehensive support and materials to assist all fosterers.
Nationally, Cats Protection helps around 200,000 cats and kittens every year. The charity also offers expert cat care advice and can assist with the cost of neutering.
