Commuters in Toronto, Canada, came together to rescue an escaped cat from under a streetcar during the busy rush hour on Friday, December 13.
In a video filmed by Ian Clarke, a group of people can be seen crouching and attempting to coax the cat out with brooms. After a while, a woman successfully grabs the cat and places it back in its pet carrier. At the end of the video, the cat’s owner is seen embracing those who helped save her pet.
According to the Toronto Star, the cat—a small orange and white one—had slipped out of its carrier and hidden between the wheels beneath the streetcar after its owner got off.
The streetcar driver, along with other commuters, assisted the woman in retrieving her cat using brooms and cat food, as reported.
