A new survey has revealed that over half of cat owners (54%) are worried about their cats’ litter box habits, with men expressing more concern than women.
The study, commissioned by World’s Best Cat Litter®, explores various aspects of cat health and well-being. Nearly one in four cat owners reported that their cat has experienced urinary tract issues, while almost 60% said they struggle to pinpoint the underlying causes of their cat’s litter box problems.
Given that many modern cat owners face time, resource, and energy constraints, World’s Best Cat Litter® is introducing its Health Check-In™ Boosters™ litter additive. This veterinary-approved product can be sprinkled on any cat litter and uses color-changing technology to detect blood in a cat’s urine, providing an instant indication of urinary health.
With 70% of cat owners checking their cats’ litter boxes daily, the Health Check-In™ Boosters™ litter additive offers peace of mind for owners concerned about their pets’ health.
“Blood is a more reliable indicator of urinary health issues than pH, which can be affected by factors like diet, hydration, or stress, potentially leading to misleading results,” explained Dr. Elizabeth Flickinger, Senior Manager of Insights and Innovation at World’s Best Cat Litter®. “While 84% of cat owners rely on eating habits to gauge overall health, it’s crucial that they don’t stop there. Using products like Health Check-In™ Boosters™ litter additive can provide a more accurate picture of a cat’s health, offering valuable peace of mind.”
The launch of Health Check-In™ Boosters™ marks an important advancement in feline health monitoring, offering cat owners a convenient way to stay proactive about their pets’ well-being.
