A fire that broke out in a midtown Tucson residence on Sunday afternoon tragically claimed the lives of two cats and a dog.
According to a social media post from the Tucson Fire Department (TFD), fire crews were dispatched to the 2900 block of East Beverly Drive at approximately 3:40 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke emanating from both the roof and the back of the house. The fire was located in a rear bedroom of the home.
Thanks to the swift response of the Tucson Fire crews, the blaze was brought under control by 4:01 p.m. Fortunately, no people were injured during the incident.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently ongoing.
