Lancaster, Pennsylvania—Cat enthusiasts in the Susquehanna Valley can look forward to a new destination this fall. The LanCATster Cat Café is set to open at 222 N. Duke St., offering a unique experience where visitors can enjoy coffee, tea, and baked goods while interacting with adoptable cats from the Columbia Animal Shelter.
Owner Jax Lanza aims to create a welcoming space where patrons feel accepted and engaged. “I’m hoping people come here and they feel accepted, safe, they have fun, it’s engaging. And this is a queer-owned business, and I’m really hoping that it’s a very safe place for the queer community,” Lanza shared.
The café will include a designated area for those who prefer a feline-free environment. It will also showcase local art and host community events, embodying its slogan, “cats, coffee, community.”
