EL PASO, Texas — Krystopher Nathan Torres, 21, of Central El Paso, has been arrested and charged with cruelty to a non-livestock animal (kill) following an incident on July 17. According to the El Paso Police Department, Torres allegedly stabbed a cat to death in the 3000 block of Douglas Avenue around 1 p.m.
Police responded to a call reporting the incident and discovered the deceased animal upon arrival at the scene. Torres had fled by the time officers arrived.
Later on July 18, Torres was located at the 11000 block of Gateway West following his involvement in a vehicle collision. He was subsequently taken into custody and booked at the El Paso County Detention Facility. Judge Horkowitz set his bond at $100,000.
The case remains under investigation by local authorities, with Torres facing charges related to the alleged act of animal cruelty.
