LEXINGTON, Ky. — This weekend, nearly 1,000 cat enthusiasts from across Kentucky converged at the Lexington Ice Center for the seventh annual Triple Crown Cat Fanciers event. The gathering featured 200 vendors showcasing 35 cat breeds from around the country, aimed at promoting awareness of purebred cats and helping attendees find potential new pets.
A highlight of the event was the Feline Agility Competition, designed to educate the public about the unique qualities of various cat breeds. Attendees were encouraged to bring donations of cat food for the Lexington Humane Society.
“It’s wonderful to see people coming from all over, including Louisville and Bowling Green,” said Ashley Rainey, vendor coordinator for the Cat Fanciers Association. “I’ve been involved in the cat fanciers community for 20 years; it feels like family, and it’s a lot of fun.”
Proceeds from the event will support several local feline shelters and rescues, helping to further their missions.
