SALEM, Ore. — A third teenager has been arrested in connection with the killing of a family cat outside a Salem home in early May.
Salem Police Department detectives apprehended a 15-year-old boy in northeast Salem on Wednesday. He faces charges of first-degree aggravated animal abuse, tampering with evidence, and interfering with a peace officer. The teenager has been transported to the Marion County Juvenile Department.
Last week, detectives identified two other teenagers, both 17, who were referred to the Marion County Juvenile Department. They were charged with first-degree aggravated animal abuse, and one of the teens also faced evidence tampering charges.
