A Perth family is pleading for the safe return of their beloved rescue cat, Ralph, after he was allegedly snatched and dumped in the southern suburbs. Wayne England and his family have been devastated since Ralph went missing three weeks ago near their northern suburbs home.
Describing the situation as shocking, Wayne explained that Ralph, who was always punctual for meals, suddenly disappeared one day. According to reports, Ralph found himself trapped in a nearby backyard before being driven for over an hour to Myaree, where he was allegedly dumped in an industrial area.
The family’s distress deepened when they learned of someone bragging about trapping and discarding a cat in the same area. Mr. England revealed that the person responsible had confessed in text messages, prompting the family to involve the RSPCA.
The emotional toll on the family, especially their six-year-old daughter, has been significant. Despite the outpouring of support online and assistance from Myaree businesses in the search for Ralph, the family remains uncertain about his fate.
While hoping for Ralph’s safe return, Mr. England emphasized the importance of raising awareness about animal cruelty and discouraging such actions in the future. The incident underscores broader concerns about pet theft and the need for vigilance in safeguarding animals from harm.
