A cat named Chai has melted hearts across social media after a video of her first time in the yard went viral. Shared on TikTok by her owner, the clip shows Chai, a grey fluffball, delighting in a sunny day outdoors and following her feline instincts.
In the heartwarming video, Chai is seen chasing insects, running through the grass, and performing acrobatic feats, clearly enjoying her special day outside. The caption reads: “POV: you let your indoor cat out and have never seen her happier.”
Cats are known for their incredible agility due to their unique spinal cord, which makes them extremely flexible. With over 30 vertebrae (53 including the tail), cats can rotate their bodies much more than humans. Additionally, their “righting reflex” allows them to almost always land on their feet, using their ears to determine orientation during a fall.
