An AlleyCat Alliance volunteer in the Okanagan rescued a mother cat and her kittens on June 2, and also helped another cat in desperate need of emergency care. While on her way to a partner vet, she saw a black cat get hit by a vehicle. She moved the injured cat off the road and, fearing the worst, took him to the vet.
Miraculously, the cat, now named Marcus, was still alive upon arrival. He was rushed into surgery for severe skin injuries and a broken femur. Marcus is now recovering and will be available for adoption once he’s healthy. AlleyCat Alliance is seeking donations to cover Marcus’ vet and medicine costs.
