Remember the orange cat that brightened our timelines with its surprising ‘I go meow’ song? Cala, the 12-year-old cat, is sadly no more. Cala’s rise to internet fame occurred earlier this year in February when a video capturing her ‘singing’ meows went viral. After the news of Cala’s death, tributes for the ‘singing cat’ poured in.

Cala’s parent, Elizabeth, shared the news of her passing on Instagram. In the post, Elizabeth expressed, “A radiant presence has left us, but Cala’s gentle meows will echo for eternity.” Initially believed to be much younger upon adoption, Cala’s true age of approximately 12 was revealed following health complications.
