Berkshire Humane Society is marking Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat Month with exciting incentives for those looking to welcome a furry friend into their homes this June.
Throughout the month, individuals who adopt a cat or kitten from Berkshire Humane Society will not only receive a door prize but also have the chance to win a cat-themed prize package. Additionally, microchips for cats will be available for just $15 by appointment at the society’s locations in Pittsfield.
Prospective adopters are encouraged to take advantage of these special offers, especially as the shelter begins to see an influx of kittens. With increased demand for cats and kittens, Executive Director John Perreault advises potential adopters to contact the feline department and visit the shelter regularly, as many cats are adopted before they are even listed on the website.
Adopt-a-Cat Month, initiated in 1975 by American Humane, aims to promote the welfare and safety of animals while strengthening the bond between animals and people. Berkshire Humane Society’s efforts align with this mission, providing loving homes for cats and kittens in need.
