While cats may not be known for their circus acts, their innate grace and agility are evident as they elegantly traverse the back of a couch or gracefully stroll along a shelf.
In celebration of these beloved feline companions, an enchanting carnival honoring cats, along with an adorable cat café, is set to charm visitors, especially as the café transitions to nonprofit status.
Mark your calendars for the Summer Carnival of Cats Open House, a delightful daytime affair unfolding at Tail Town Cat Café in Pasadena on Saturday, June 1.
Admission to this festive gathering? Purr-fectly free.
The focal point of the event will be an adoption lounge showcasing 30 to 40 rescue-ready felines. Additionally, carnival-inspired games like Lightning Kitty Bingo and Cat Cornhole, along with delectable refreshments, promise to create a joyous atmosphere.
Attendees can also look forward to fortune readings, with hopes that the future holds abundant feline energy for all.
“To celebrate Tail Town’s nonprofit status, we’re opening our doors during the day to allow the community to visit our lounge for free and witness the amazing and compassionate work we do with cats,” explained Gwendolyn Mathers, acting executive director of Tail Town Cats.
“For those interested in supporting our mission of providing shelter for rescue cats and helping them find loving homes, the Summer Carnival of Cats and Feline Faire will offer opportunities to contribute to our cause.”
During the celebration, a membership program will be introduced, providing attendees with the chance to shop for Tail Town merchandise.
For those aged 21 and older interested in extending the festivities, an after-party awaits. This ticketed event, priced at $25, offers a chance to continue the celebration. Advance ticket purchase is recommended via the website to secure a spot.
