On the morning of 24th April 2025, at 11:32 AM, a cat tragically fell from a high floor of Lai Tin House in Pak Tin Estate, Shek Kip Mei. The cat, a British Shorthair believed to be under one year old, was pronounced dead at the scene after landing on a canopy on the first floor.
The police responded promptly and launched an investigation. Initial reports suggest that the cat may have fallen from around the 30th floor. Representatives from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) also visited the location to assess the situation. They concluded that no foul play was suspected.
Authorities have arranged for the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department to collect the cat’s remains. Investigations are still ongoing.
