Archie, a black cat with vampire-like fangs, is on the hunt for a new home after spending four months in a rescue shelter.
This five-year-old cat, known for his sharp top teeth that permanently protrude over his lower lip, was rescued by the RSPCA after concerns about his welfare. Staff at the charity’s Martlesham Animal Centre, near Ipswich, have affectionately dubbed him the “little vampurr” and are eager to find him a loving home.
Despite his devilish appearance, Archie does not crave blood like his mythical counterparts. However, he can be a bit feisty if startled, and the shelter advises that he would thrive in a “patient and understanding home.”
Branch cattery supervisor Donna Rich described Archie as a “beautiful boy,” though she noted that he can become “a little cheeky” when overstimulated during cuddles. “He would benefit from attention in small doses and owners should make sure to get his consent first — usually through a little head bump,” she explained.
Rich added, “We hope Archie will find the perfect companion. This little ‘vampurr’ is eager to meet someone special who will appreciate him for who he is.”
Archie is looking for a home with owners who understand his boundaries and can provide plenty of playtime. He would do best as the only cat in the household, with no dogs, and would be more suitable for families with older children or teenagers.
Additionally, Archie would need access to the outdoors so he can explore and enjoy the fresh air, according to his current carers.
