For those struggling with loss, Falkirk’s Kit-Tea Café offers a peaceful refuge to share grief and find support.
Located on Cockburn Street, the non-profit café is dedicated to raising awareness of cat welfare in Scotland, while also serving as a community hub. One of its initiatives, the Grief Café, provides a space for people dealing with loss.
The event, scheduled for Thursday, January 16, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, is designed to support those coping with various forms of loss—whether it’s the death of a loved one, the loss of a pet, or the end of a relationship.
A representative from the Kit-Tea Café shared, “We host a free, monthly drop-in café for anyone in need of support, a friendly chat, or simply a place to be around others who understand, with no judgment or expectations.”
Visitors are encouraged to enjoy a warm cup of tea and a biscuit in a relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by the café’s resident cats.
