More than a dozen cats were discovered at a highway truck pullout north of Kamloops, British Columbia.
A Vancouver woman travelling home over the Thanksgiving weekend spotted a small canvas pet carrier on the side of the road and discovered 10 cats, including a mom and her five kittens and a pregnant cat in the carrier.
The cats are now under the care of the BC SPCA, and all are healthy. The nursing mom and her kittens were placed in a foster home, and the pregnant cat was placed in another foster home and later gave birth to five more kittens.
