Petbarn, one of Australia’s leading pet retailers, has introduced a heartwarming initiative: the Petbarn Puppy and Kitten Club. This new program, launched with the creative collaboration of Howatson+Company, offers pet parents a comprehensive range of resources and benefits for their furry friends during their first year of life.
The launch is accompanied by a captivating film that showcases the profound bond between pet parents and their new pets, as well as the unwavering support provided by Petbarn’s team. Directed by Arundati Thandur from FINCH, the film features a charming cover of the classic song “Love is All Around,” originally popularized by Wet Wet Wet, underscoring the affection and care that Petbarn fosters.
Nicholas Adams, Chief Customer Officer at Greencross Pet Wellness Company, emphasized the unique aspects of Petbarn, stating, “Our employee engagement scores reflect our team’s passion, our NPS data highlights the love pet parents have for Petbarn, and we know pets enjoy visiting us. The Petbarn Puppy and Kitten Club enhances our commitment by providing essential advice, rewards, and savings to pet parents.”
Creative directors Jared Wicker and Elaine Li of Howatson+Company added, “Our goal was to demonstrate that Petbarn is the ultimate destination for puppy and kitten needs. By integrating beloved pets into every aspect of our campaign—from the song lyrics to set design—we aimed to celebrate as many breeds as possible.”
The film marks the beginning of a broader campaign, which officially launched on 18 August. The campaign utilizes a strategic mix of broadcast, digital, and outdoor media to maximize visibility and engagement.
