A woman from Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, expressed her joy at being reunited with her missing cat, Mojo, four years after he vanished. Alison Woodrow, who works at Peterborough Cat Rescue, rescued Mojo when he was just four weeks old. The two-year-old cat went missing in 2020 during a summer evening stroll.
Ms. Woodrow had nearly lost hope of finding him until she received a call from a vet informing her that Mojo had been located just a seven-minute walk from their home. “I rushed in my car with a cat carrier, and there he was,” she recounted.
Upon bringing Mojo home, she noted his confusion about his surroundings. “It’s all a bit weird and a bit of an adjustment,” she said, reflecting on the unusual circumstances of their reunion.
Despite his absence, Ms. Woodrow believes Mojo likely found companionship elsewhere during his time away, as he appeared well-fed and healthy. “He looks really well fed and glossy—he has been much loved, so it’s nice to know,” she added.
